St John Malawi is a non-profit trust registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act 1962 of the Laws of Malawi.  It als registered with Non Governmental Organisations Regulatory Authority (Formerly NGO Board of Malawi) and is a member of the Non-Governmental organizations in Malawi (CONGOMA).

The headquarters of St John Malawi is in Limbe, Blantyre and comprises office space with a large meeting/training room. We have also a sub office in Lilongwe, Old Town behind NBS Bank.

 

Vision

To be a leading first aid organisation in transferring skills and knowledge to communities throughout Malawi in prevention of injuries, diseases and promotion of community healthcare.

 

Mission

St John Malawi is a voluntary organisation which provides commercial First Aid training to the public and transfer skills to communities as a first response to accidents and injuries and to promote primary health care and health education to all regardless of race, religion political, beliefs, age gender, HIV status or disability.

 

History

St John Ambulance Malawi is an Association under the Order of St John to provide first aid and medical responses to Community healthcare needs. St John Council Malawi (Ambulance) is registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act of Malawi, with NGO registration number: NGO/L/07/027. St John Ambulance is also a member of CONGOMA, registration number: C025/1994. St John was founded in Malawi in 1957 with support from major companies to prevent workplace accidents and save lives. These organisations gave St John Malawi material and financial support.
